Our Mission
Delta Kai is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building stronger communities through martial arts, service, and education. We offer free public programs, community events, and member-led meetups to nurture personal growth, leadership, and collaborative impact.
Our Story

I began my martial arts journey in American Karate, earning my black belt in September 1999. Over the years, I progressed and achieved my 3rd-degree black belt in 2019. In 2021, I made the decision to step away from American Karate to deepen my focus on Traditional Karate.
In my time I have also trained:
- Shotokan (2012–2014)
- Shorin Ryu (2015–2018)
- Muay Thai (2021)
- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (2021)
- Shurite (2021–2025)
My son began his journey in Karate in 2020 at the age of four and has always been something we’ve enjoyed together. Now he joins me as my first student in our own family Dojo.
Our Delta Kai style is a fusion of all I’ve learned, offering something truly unique and as a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Youth Exercise Specialist, I’ve combined my fitness expertise with martial arts to create an empowering experience for all ages.
I look forward to empowering others and helping the community grow. Join us in our endeavor to make a difference!
Why The Name Delta Kai?

When the name was decided for the dojo, I knew I wanted to do things differently. That’s why “Delta” was chosen as the first word in the name and why we established ourselves as a 501(c)(3) organization. The second word, “Kai” 会 means “group or association”; I wanted to create a space focused on fitness and personal growth, not just for ourselves but for our community as well.
In my life, karate has become a vehicle for personal development. To me, the flowing dots in the yin-yang symbol on our patch represent the balance of order and chaos in life. The two inner circles symbolize the chaos we encounter in life and the order we strive to create from it—much like the classic depiction of an angel and devil on our shoulders. The Kanji for “Kara-Te” represents the discipline and the path karate provides for personal growth.
At Delta Kai, our core values are humility, respect, and discipline. Humility serves as the cornerstone, forming the foundation for everything we do. Discipline and respect are the daily practices that guide us on the path of personal growth.
